Why Moessmer?

Why Moessmer and Lana Cotta?

The historic Moessmer Wool Mill in Brunico in Val Pusteria has been producing since 1894, when founder Josef Beikircher first began producing sturdy loden garments for hunters and farmers.

To date, it is among the few Italian textile companies that still process wool through the entire production cycle, from the raw material to the highest quality fabrics such as boiled wool , loden, alpaca, cashmere and tweed fabrics .

Moessmer fully represents the union between tradition and high fashion. Tradition because the fabric produced was once intended for mountain people, a thick woolen cloth that had to protect from snow and rain in the harsh winter season. High fashion because for years great designers on the international scene such as Prada, Etro , Brunello Cuccinelli, Armani, Dolce&Gabbana , Louis Vuitton have been competing for it...

Moessmer with its fabrics and our sartorial knowledge allows us to guarantee a product of excellent quality and durability over time.
